横山校長先生よりご挨拶

　9月11日（木）の大雨で学校の1階が浸水し、保護者の皆さまには集団下校、児童引き取りのご対応、排水作業のお手伝いをいただき大変感謝致します。

　給食室や体育館、図書室などが影響を受け、翌日は給食の提供ができず午前授業となりましたが、おかげさまで午後は消毒作業に専念でき、翌週から通常通りの授業が再開できました。

　現在も一部の設備に影響が残っており、特に体育館は乾燥後の安全確保の問題で使用できず、特別教室や6年1組の教室では冷房が壊れている状態です。

　今後も復旧に向けて対応してまいります。

A Message from Principal Yokoyama

Due to the heavy rain on Thursday, September 11th, the first floor of the school was flooded. We are deeply grateful to all the parents for their swift response in arranging for collective dismissal, picking up students, and assisting with the drainage efforts.

The school’s kitchen, gymnasium, and library were affected by the flooding, which led to a cancellation of lunch service the following day. Instead, we held half-day classes. Thanks to your cooperation, we were able to focus on disinfection work in the afternoon, and normal classes resumed the following week.

However, some facilities are still experiencing issues. The gymnasium remains unusable due to safety concerns following the drying process, and the air conditioning in the special classrooms and Class 6-1 is currently out of order.

We will continue to address the recovery efforts as we work towards restoring the affected facilities.

   ・9月10日（水）1-5年生保護者向けにPTA役員・会計監査委員候補者の推薦についてアンケート配信、9月22日（月）まで回答受付中

   ・自薦不足による役員経験者の特権変更運用開始。役員経験者の特権に第2子以降の委員免除を追加 ・現役員へ留任・退任アンケート配信

• October 5 (Sun): Yukigaya District 9 Neighborhood Associations Sports Festival

• November 1 (Sat): Preparing participation prizes for Sports Day

• November 8 (Tue): 3rd Block Exchange Meeting of the Chofu District Elementary School PTA Liaison Council

■From the Class Representative Committee

• Preparing for the schoolyard opening

• September 27 (Sat): Scheduled to manage reception at the School Open House

• November 1 (Sat): Scheduled to manage reception at the Sports Day

■From the Cultural and Welfare Committee

• Sorting and tallying of Bell Marks (approximately 3,100 marks)

• October 22 (Wed): Preparing for the bicycle safety class (28 participants)

• November 7 (Fri): Preparing for the school lunch tasting event (52 participants, 17 from the Cultural and Welfare Committee, 1 from the Public Relations Committee, totaling 70 participants)

■From the Public Relations Committee

• Coverage of the summer vacation radio exercises + scheduled for web distribution in September

• Coverage of the Sports Day live stream and the school lunch tasting event + scheduled for web distribution

■From the Off-Campus Guidance Committee

• The summer vacation radio exercises were held. The average daily participation was 220 people (of which 155 were children).

• On August 8th (Friday), information about dangerous vehicles in the school zone was electronically distributed.

• On September 8th (Monday), a standing committee meeting was held. A review of the activities during the first semester was conducted, and preparations were made for the upcoming school year.

  
  

■From the Recommendation Committee

• On September 10th (Wednesday), a survey about the recommendation of PTA officers and accounting audit committee candidates was distributed to parents of students in grades 1 to 5. Responses are being accepted until September 22nd (Monday).

• New operational changes regarding privileges for those with previous officer experience have been initiated due to insufficient self-recommendations. The privilege now includes exemption from committee duties for second and subsequent children. A survey regarding current officers’ intentions to stay or leave their positions has also been distributed.

  
  

■From the Graduation Preparation Committee

• Payment for graduation-related expenses has been confirmed.

• Estimates for various commemorative items have been received and orders placed, with preparations for graduation underway.
